This screen print was created as a fundraiser for the National Ski Patrol and only available at the Weston Backcountry x Tincup Whiskey booth at the 2022 Winter Outdoor Retailer.

The illustration was also used as a ski and snowboard graphic for the collaboration between Weston Backcountry and Tincup Whiskey. Proceeds went to benefit the National Ski Patrol avalanche dog program.

The clouds on the top and the dog represent “Barry” a famous St Bernard that was said to have rescued over 40 people back in the early 1800s. Also, nestled in the mountains is the famous hospice located on the Great St Bernard Pass between Italy and Switzerland which is said to be the birth place of the first avalanche dog program. On the bottom is a modern avalanche mountain dog saving someone while his famous predecessor looks on…

The original artwork is a hand carved linoleum block and was printed using a wooden spoon.
