“Not all those who wander are lost.” ― JRR Tolkien
The "Good Kind of Lost II" represents the time when you're heading to a certain destination, but by luck or accident you end up in a completely different one. And that new, different place changes your life forever....
This is a giclee print of the original linoleum carving collage using a vintage topographic map of the Elk Mountains in Colorado (c. 1940s) and in particular, the Lake Irwin (Lake Brennan) area above the small town of Crested Butte. I print the block on a variety of old found paper, cut every piece out and then reglue it all back together to get the finished piece. All the color you see, is actually the tone of the paper the block was printed on.
