"Snow, abundant and falling, drifted by the wind. Crystal clear water streaming along mossy boulders. Swells traveling a calm and peaceful ocean as if they had their own will." - Taro Tamai (Founder, Gentemstick)

This piece was created at the same time while I was working on the Japow graphic for Weston Snowboards. Japan is on the bucket list for almost all skiers and snowboarders due to the quality, quantity and consistency of snow. If you've been there, I'm sure you remember the trip fondly... some of us are still waiting to get to experience "Japanuary" for ourselves...

This is a giclee print of an original linoleum carving collage on a vintage map (c. 1963) of the island of Hokkaido in Japan. The original map is on thin paper so you can slightly see the reverse side of the map due to the level of the scan. Each print is signed and numbered and comes with a hand stamped "signature" icon as well.
